You want to harness the transformative power of the cloud. We’ve got the tools to help.
The Internet2 Cloud Scorecard and Institutional Profiles are moving from pilot to production. On March 6, Internet’s Quyen Valliant and Sean O’Brien will share how these two initiatives are helping research and education institutions discover, evaluate, and adopt cloud services. Specifically, cloud services that meet their security, compliance, and technology standards.
“The number of cloud services IT needs to review and manage continues to grow. Working with the R&E community, we’ve developed the Cloud Scorecard and Institutional Profiles to help institutions better understand the capability of services they already have and the adherence to standards of services they may be considering.”
— Quyen Valliant, NET+ Program Manager, Internet2
Reducing risk, controlling costs, and minimizing redundancy are common challenges associated with cloud vendor risk management. You don’t have to face them alone. Internet2’s Nick Lewis will present a session on March 5 about Community-Scale Vendor Risk Management, with updates on a new NET+ service evaluation to support campuses in this area. Also, don’t miss the opportunity to hear from a community-led panel about Building Vendor Management Programs earlier that day.
“Many groups across the community are working on vendor management, including third-party risk management. I’m pulling these groups together to identify shared requirements and priorities for a service the community can use to help improve the process with distributed stakeholders on their campuses. Come hear the latest updates and get engaged!”
— Nick Lewis, Program Manager for NET+ Cloud Services – Security and Identity, Internet2
