30 October 2023 Cloud Internet2 NET+ Continues Collaboration with Instructure to Offer R&E Community Unique Benefits Subscribe for more like this Share Estimated reading time: 3 minutes By Matthew Buss, Program Manager, Internet2 Internet2 NET+ recently finalized an update to our agreement with Instructure for NET+ Canvas that will have lasting effects into the future, strengthening and stabilizing our relationship to benefit the research and higher education (R&E) community. Tom Lewis, director of Productivity Platforms for the University of Washington and current chair of the Internet2 NET+ Canvas Service Advisory Board, noted that “leaders from the community find working with Internet2 and Instructure very satisfying in that both work to understand and assist us in solving problems at the community level. I look forward to this continued collaboration.” Beginning in 2013, our two organizations worked towards offering the R&E community a foundational program to meet its needs. Working side by side with the NET+ Canvas Service Advisory Board, we reached another 10-year agreement that provides unique benefits for the R&E community, including: Updated and bundled pricing for Canvas and other Instructure services Pilot business model for credentials Added incentives for new subscribers to the program Internet2 Associate Vice President for NET+ Sean O’Brien said, “It is great to work side by side with a service provider like Instructure to make a real difference for Internet2 members.
