Research and higher education (R&E) institutions will soon have a new way to access completed Cloud Scorecards. Now available for public preview, the new Internet2 Cloud Scorecard Finder website is built on a popular community open-source platform. It introduces enhancements to streamline how R&E institutions discover, review, and select cloud solutions.

Go-To Resource for Cloud Decision-Makers

The Cloud Scorecard has been a go-to resource for R&E cloud decision-makers since we launched the pilot in 2021. The community-developed questionnaire reflects key requirements and considerations, empowering IT leaders, procurement teams, and cloud service managers with relevant information to make informed and compliant decisions.

Now, more than 80 cloud vendors participate in the scorecard. Their services span multiple categories: teaching and learning, productivity and collaboration, business and administrative systems, security, identity and access management, network and connectivity, cloud computing, storage and document management, web development and hosting, and voice and video.

New Features, More Benefits

With more advanced features and an improved user experience, the new Cloud Scorecard Finder website will help community members find the right cloud solutions faster and compare solutions side-by-side. Here’s what’s now available on the new website:

  • Dynamic selection criteria: Guides users through key requirement areas to quickly identify cloud solutions that align with their institution’s needs — saving time and simplifying the search process.
  • Side-by-side comparison: Offers the option to compare multiple cloud solutions with a clear, easy-to-interpret view to determine which service is the best fit based on all relevant criteria.

In a vast and rapidly changing cloud solutions landscape, an R&E community-driven resource like the Cloud Scorecard makes all the difference. Here’s what the community is saying about the Cloud Scorecard:
