Support the Data-Centric Researcher
As a community of research and education institutions, Internet2 members are engaging in collaborative research and making discoveries that transform our world. Big science collaborations, such as the National Science Foundation’s IceCube Neutrino Observatory and CERN’s Large Hadron Collider, are just two examples of facilities that are producing ground-breaking research where the big data generated is insurmountable.
Researchers rely on sharing and accessing this data across advanced research and education networks from high-performance computing resources that are increasingly in the public cloud. The Next Generation Infrastructure (NGI) program’s investments in next-generation technology enable campus information technology and security teams to help researchers in moving and accessing research data securely and as fast as possible.
