MS-CC Welcomes Leslie Jones as Director of Program Development

Please join us in welcoming Leslie Jones in her new role as director of program development for the Minority Serving – Cyberinfrastructure Consortium (MS-CC)! Leslie’s first day with the MS-CC was Monday, Dec. 4, 2023.

In this role, Leslie is responsible for leading the outreach efforts in collaboration with MS-CC organizations and partners to continue the implementation of MS-CC workshops and service offerings. Leslie will also continue to refine the MS-CC value proposition to encourage increased participation and engagement from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs). 

Leslie brings over 20 years of strategic planning and community partnerships development, with experiences spanning STEM education, edtech implementation, mentorship programs, and government consulting. She joined the MS-CC from the Junior Achievement of Greater Washington, a non-profit organization in Washington, D.C., where she was responsible for supporting students and educators from more than 40 schools, developing and implementing programming for high school students, and creating an outreach program to increase community partnerships.

Leslie earned her bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees from Howard University, and is a proud wife and mother of three, including a son who is a freshman at Alabama A&M University. She is active in several community organizations including Girls Scouts, Boy Scouts, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and Jack and Jill of America.
