Internet2 Industry membership offers a variety of ways to connect with key decision makers in the research and education (R&E) community and generate new business opportunities. But did you know that Internet2 Industry members have exclusive access to even more services and programs? Here are a few membership benefits and engagement tips your company may not be taking full advantage of.

Industry Member Engagement Opportunities

Did you know that Internet2 Industry members have access to eduroam Wi-Fi? eduroam is a global wireless network access service for R&E. Industry members who host individuals from universities and other participating institutions can enable these guests to securely authenticate to Wi-Fi just as they would at their home institutions. It’s a great way to demonstrate your company’s commitment to the R&E community!

I2TIP: eduroam is free for Internet2 members.

Did you know that Internet2 Industry members can position their company as an industry expert and resource to the community by participating in the InCommon Catalyst program? The InCommon community includes organizations that understand the specific challenges and requirements of R&E. These companies participate in InCommon conferences, training programs, and working groups. They also give back to the community in the form of case studies, contributed code, and other services.

I2TIP: Before becoming a Catalyst, an organization must spend at least a year actively participating in the InCommon community and getting to know the community’s needs.

Did you know Internet2 Industry members can showcase their company’s products and services by completing the Internet2 Cloud Scorecard? This vendor self-assessment helps higher ed institutions evaluate which cloud solutions meet their security, compliance, and technology requirements using standards and best practices developed within the R&E community.

I2TIP: Participation in the Cloud Scorecard pilot program is a free benefit for Internet2 members.
