The Identity Proofing Solution Chosen by the Community

Research and higher education institutions can now use the new NET+ Persona service to address their identity proofing and verification requirements for federal research access continuity, financial aid and enrollment integrity, secure credential issuance, and account recovery.

This new service was selected through a community-driven RFP process. Eight institutions, including Duke University, Harvard University Information Technology, Hudson County Community College, Pacific Lutheran University, Southern Methodist University, University of Delaware, University of Massachusetts – Amherst, and University of Wisconsin-Madison, developed the RFP requirements based on a survey and InCommon identity proofing work.

The NET+ Service Evaluation for NET+ Persona will be performed later in 2026. Contact Nick Lewis at netplus@internet2.edu if you’re interested in participating.
