Internet2 recently announced the new InCommon Certificate Service with CertiNext, marking the culmination of a multiyear, community-driven effort to modernize certificate management for the research and higher education (R&E) community. 

The service transition began on April 7 and will conclude on July 17, 2026.

OpenID Federation 30-Day Community Consultation is Now Open

The Profiling OpenID Federation for Research and Education (PORE) working group spent two years investigating the future of federated trust in our community. Now, they are ready for feedback.

PORE has released its draft recommendation for InCommon investment in OpenID federation and is actively seeking feedback from the InCommon community. All responses are due June 27 at 1 p.m. ET.
