Research Community

Connect with the Community, Advance Research

As a research computing and data professional, you need to know what technology, tools, and services are available. As a researcher, you need to know you can collaborate securely and reliably on a global scale.

It just so happens we’ve been supporting collaborative research since our founding in 1996.
Internet2 helps researchers connect with a full spectrum of support services and technology. We work to advance your data-intensive research by improving awareness of and access to key resources and technologies and connect you with our partners in the provider community.

Let us help you understand and use the latest data infrastructure, cloud-based services, security, and network technologies to foster collaboration within our community. This includes offering one-on-one consultations and training to use services like the Internet2 Network, federated Identity and Access Management, eduroam, and a variety of commercial cloud services tailored to higher education.

Research Project Support and Collaboration

We directly connect you with other researchers on projects like the OSG and PRP/NRP pilot, where we invested in hardware deployments and leverage Internet2 resources. We also support other projects, such as Exploring Clouds for Acceleration of Science (E-CAS), LSST, and Fabric.
