Transportation and Parking

Stanford University is conveniently located near three regional airports.  Travel options to/from these airports are summarized at the following link.

Power Tip: If you are taking a Lyft or Uber from San Francisco Airport (SFO), go to the International terminal before calling your ride. The wait is far shorter than from the domestic terminals.

A comprehensive transportation information guide, which outlines your various options, including local transit options and Stanford’s Free Marguerite Shuttle, is provided in PDF format at this link.

Hotels

The Cloud Forum has reserved room blocks at two hotels. The first is Dinah’s Garden Hotel, which has a variety of rooms for $250/night (excluding taxes). It is less expensive than our second hotel, the Sheraton, but a bit farther away. In order to book your room at Dinah’s Garden Hotel, either call the hotel directly at 650-493-2844 and mention the “Higher Education Cloud Forum” or book online to secure the negotiated room rate. The deadline for reserving with Dinah’s Garden in the Cloud Forum block has passed.

The second is the Sheraton Palo Alto Hotel which has rooms for $389/night (excluding taxes). The deadline for reserving at the Sheraton with the Cloud Forum group rate has passed. The Sheraton is right across the street from the Stanford campus and there are shuttles at that campus entrance that take you quite close to the building we will be meeting in. The room block runs from April 30 through May 2. If you wish to check in earlier or stay later, please book for the two nights of the event and then contact Bree Price (bprice@pahotel.com) and she will try to help you add days at the group rate.

Alternate Hotels

There are additional hotels in the area for those wishing to stay at a venue other than those we have room blocks with.
