Update on Internet2’s Participation at SC21

Since 1999, Internet2 has been an active participant in the SC Conference and a proud sponsor of SCinet—the cutting-edge, high-speed network built each year in support of conference workshops, demonstrations, and collaborative opportunities.

For SC21, Internet2 will deliver over 1.3 Tbps of capacity to the America’s Center in downtown St. Louis. We will also provide virtual support for Internet2 members who are presenting and participating in demonstrations, whether on-site or remote.

While remaining a strong partner in the virtual and global aspects of SC, we have made the difficult decision to participate remotely during this year’s events.

We have been closely monitoring the status of the COVID-19 situation and feel this is the best decision for the safety and well-being of our community colleagues, members, and staff. 

We sincerely appreciate the community input we have received in making this decision. We are hopeful to resume on-site participation next year at SC22.
