The deprovisioning of accounts sub-workgroup has been focusing on the creation of a set of best practices and documentation for common scenarios such as: removal of access from the user, holding account in case of return, holding content for a specified time, identifying collaborators in shared content who will lose access, and strategies for transferring content to new owners. The sub-working group has been focusing on the development of requirements for Data Migration tools to assist universities in the migration of data from Google Workspace for Education to other cloud-based platforms or on-premise storage solutions. The requirements were incorporated into a Request for Information issued by Internet2 in February of 2023 to gain a better understanding of the products and services offered by Service Providers to facilitate data migration.
