Course Information

  • Title: AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certification Cohort #12
  • Instructor: Chris Kuehn, Cloud Data Architect, Northwestern University, former Cloud Architect at the University of Illinois, with 20 years of experience in higher education IT
  • Time: Self-paced work, with weekly cohort meetings (instructor and cohort will set meeting time)
  • Duration: 12 weeks, asynchronous learning with weekly instructor check-in (includes catch-up week). Participants should expect roughly 4–6 hours per week.
  • Cost: $250 for Cloud Infrastructure Community Program subscribers; $400 for Internet2 members; $600 for non-members

Course Overview

Cohort members will build foundational cloud computing knowledge and cement it through hands-on labs to help prepare them for becoming certified AWS Solutions Architect Associate. This is a good way to increase your expertise in architecting and managing your institution’s cloud infrastructure.

Participants can expect to commit roughly 4 to 6 hours per week during the 12-week course, depending on experience level. You will be expected to attend and participate in cohort activities, including weekly virtual video check-in sessions.
