Workshop Overview

This half-day workshop provides a practical foundation in AWS for IT professionals whose primary role is not cloud engineering.

Attendees will get hands-on experience with the core building blocks of AWS: compute (EC2), storage (S3, EBS), networking fundamentals, and identity and access management (IAM). This session serves as the common prerequisite for both the Linux and Windows operations tracks.

  • IT professionals in areas such as operations, developers, and analysts

Workshop Objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will leave with a working understanding of the core AWS building blocks and be prepared to attend the July 23 AWS Linux Operations for Non-Majors workshop.

  • Launch and connect to an EC2 instance
  • Work with S3 and EBS storage
  • Understand how IAM users, roles, and policies control access
  • Navigate the AWS Console confidently
  • Understand the core building blocks of AWS
