Overwhelmed by the plethora of cloud services on the market? The new Internet2 Cloud Scorecard Finder website makes it easier than ever to find the best fit for your institution.

Campus Technology recently interviewed Sean O’Brien of Internet2 and Loren Malm of Ball State University to get the scoop on how the Finder’s dynamic features and user-friendly interface are bringing even more value to the research and higher education (R&E) community.

The new Cloud Scorecard Finder is now available for public preview, built on an open-source platform developed by collaborators at Cornell University. CIOs, IT staff, procurement teams, and other cloud decision-makers can use the Finder to explore more than 80 solutions, navigate key requirements, and identify the best-fit options to make confident, informed decisions for their institutions.

“In the time since the 2021 [Cloud Scorecard] pilot, we’ve reached a new level of confidence and proof-of-concept… Yes, the higher education R&E community is interested; yes, cloud vendors will fill out the questionnaire; and yes, cloud decision-makers will use it. That’s what led us to launching the new Cloud Scorecard Finder site you can see today.”

“The Cloud Scorecard is an integral part of our workflow when looking for new solutions. It’s one of the first resources we turn to, putting us not only on a good track to find solutions more quickly but also to discover solutions we might not otherwise have considered.”

Both O’Brien and Malm serve on the 11-member Cloud Scorecard Advisory Group.
