The SC24 edition of the Americas HPC Collaboration BoF will focus on improving continental actions since the initial edition at SC15. This year’s BoF will showcase three continental Networks of Research and Education (NRES): CANARIE, Internet2, and RedCLARA, and the collaborative experiences in HPC that these NRES have enabled to grow the skills and actions of the continental research communities.

SCinet and Internet2’s Contributions

SCinet will deliver an incredible network capacity of 8.71 Tbps during the conference, powered by contributions from a wide range of research, education, and industry organizations — including Internet2. Internet2 is a Platinum SCinet Contributor for SC24, contributing ports and capacity totaling 3.1 Tbps to connect SCinet to Internet2’s R&E platform and I2PX service.

Special recognition goes to Angie Asmus, SC24 SCinet chair and interim director of network and telecommunications at Colorado State University, along with the hundreds of volunteers and contributors that make SCinet possible.
