Course Overview
The goal of this course is to give beginners foundational knowledge to set up an Amazon Web Services (AWS) account, as well as how to facilitate authentication, authorization, and log in to an account. It also gets the student started on how to use Simple Storage Service, Elastic Compute Service, and Virtual Private Cloud offered by AWS with the relevant hands-on lab exercises that help to set up a solid understanding of the security components associated with each service.
The course provides an overview of the AWS security features and services available to help secure your AWS environment as you start your journey in experimenting with AWS.

Course Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will have a foundational understanding of AWS security, enabling them to confidently start using AWS services with the necessary security measures in place.

- Set up and manage access control and authentication using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Implement logging and monitoring using AWS CloudTrail
- Securely use Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) for data storage
- Configure and secure Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances
- Create and manage Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environments
