More About the Training
The CLASS Certification Pathways learning module aims to build foundational cloud computing knowledge and cement that knowledge using hands-on labs to help prepare attendees for becoming certified solutions architect associates or professional cloud architects. As in previous cohorts, the training programs are led by Sharif Nijim, assistant teaching professor of IT at Notre Dame for the AWS cohort, and Kenny Moore, virtualization and cloud administrator at the University of Michigan for the GCP cohort.
- The training will leverage self-paced materials from Cloud Academy.
- Participants will commit roughly 5-7 hours per week during the ten-week course, including participating in weekly cohort activities.
- See the complete course outline for AWS and GCP.
Space is limited to ensure an engaging learning environment.
What Past Training Attendees Say
The Internet2 AWS SAAC filled in the gaps in my working knowledge of AWS and gave me the confidence to take and pass the certification test. The weekly discussions helped cement the topics covered in the course that week with participants sharing real-world architectures and the decision-making behind their implementation.
As I navigate the ever-evolving landscape of cloud computing, my AWS training with Sharif Nijim prepared me for becoming an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate. The comprehensive curriculum provided by Cloud Academy broadened and deepened my understanding of AWS services. At the same time, Sharif’s guidance and practical insights empowered me to design solutions for my organization’s unique challenges and limitations.
The [Internet2 GCP Professional Cloud Architect Training] was very useful. I learned much from this training and understood more specifics about some GCP services.
