Recognizing the challenges of a rapidly evolving cloud services landscape, Internet2 NET+ recently launched the Cloud Scorecard Pilot Directory – offering the research and education (R&E) community a more efficient means to identify and assess cloud services for compliance, security, and technology requirements.
EdScoop recently interviewed Sean O’Brien, Internet2 director of NET+ cloud services, to learn more about the Cloud Scorecard, including the R&E community’s needs and design principles that drove the development of the scorecard, along with the ongoing assessments that will shape the future of the Cloud Scorecard project.

“One of the design principles we went into with the Cloud Scorecard … was really to try to leverage existing standards, existing questions, existing methodologies, and bundle them up in a way that makes sense for higher ed versus creating something new.“
– Sean O’Brien, Director of NET+ Cloud Services
