MAN LAN Fees

MAN LAN Fees

Connections are governed by the MAN LAN Connection Agreement. Alternatively networks wishing to connect to MAN LAN should contact networkdevelopment@internet2.edu to obtain a copy of the agreement.

Ethernet frame-based services are provided by a Brocade MLXe-16 Ethernet switch that supports bandwidths at 1, 10, and 100 GigE. Both LAN PHY and WAN PHY are supported.

The Internet2 AL3S Network is a connector to MAN LAN through a 10 GE LAN PHY link from its core router located elsewhere at 32 Avenue of the Americas. The Internet2 AL2S Network is a connector to MAN LAN through a 100 GE link. MAN LAN, in New York City, is the preferred means for peer networks to connect to Internet2 and for direct peering between international and US based R&E networks.

Internet2 has established the following cost-sharing fees for connection to the MAN LAN Ethernet switch. They are reviewed annually and are payable on a 12-month advance basis.
