I2 Online isthe brand name for Internet2’s online/virtual content. It is a set of processes and means by which we organize online programming, including webinars, workshops, and featured content for the community.

Given the uncertainty around the ongoing impacts of COVID-19, and feedback we have received about ongoing budget concerns, travel restrictions, and event attendance policies, Internet2 is unlikely to hold in-person events in 2021.

Given the many uncertainties still with the ongoing impacts of COVID-19, as well as feedback we have received about ongoing budget concerns, travel restrictions, and event attendance policies, Internet2 has determined it will not hold an in-person Technology Exchange in 2021.
At this point, it is unclear. Internet2 will continue to assess the ever-changing landscape of COVID-19 and we will continue to solicit feedback from the community to fully understand their challenges in regard to travel, budget, and other policies.
Yes. We will continue to convene the community through our I2 Online events and present many different forms and types of content. In an effort to ensure the community still has an opportunity to share experiences, exchange ideas, and learn from each other, we have created “Community Voices.’ Learn more about it, register for upcoming sessions, and submit a proposal to give a talk.
Webinars typically allow for one-way presentations to a large number of attendees at one time. Meetings tend to be more interactive — they allow participants to see and hear each other and hosts can use breakout rooms and chat if desired. Internet2 uses both types of programming through the I2 Online platform.
Yes. Typically every event is recorded and uploaded to the I2 Online website under Past Events. Each event will have a link to the recorded session.
